Procedure
Anesthetic may not be needed prior to treatment since JUVÉDERM® XC contains lidocaine, a type of anesthetic, so you will feel less discomfort during your treatment.† 1 Dr. Jejurikar may also decide to apply a topical anesthetic to numb the treatment area before he administers your injections. Next, he will inject JUVÉDERM® XC under the skin of your skin where wrinkles and folds occur to replace lost skin volume. This procedure takes about 15 minutes and has no recovery time. The results are instant and you will see just how fast and effective JUVÉDERM™ treatments are.
Side Effects
There are possible mild to moderate side effects, such as:
- Temporary injection-site reactions such as redness, pain, firmness, swelling, and bumps.
- JUVÉDERM® is not for people with severe allergies.
